The people of the Amawbia community in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State comprising women, youths, Clergies, non-indigenes, and other concerned stakeholders residing in the community have assured the State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo of delivering 100 percent votes for the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), candidate, Honourable Chukwuma Pius Okoye, for Awka South 2 State Constituency in the forthcoming March 18th, 2023 House of Assembly election in the state.
They said that their 100 percent vote for APGA is non-negotiable, adding that the numerous development projects the governor, who is the leader of the Party, had executed in the Constituency and the entire state in less than one year in office were enough reasons for them irrespective of any political affiliation at this moment, to vote massively for APGA candidate to represent the Constituency at the State Legislative House.
The people gave the endorsement on Thursday during the party campaign rally in support of Hon Okoye’s second term reelection bid, held at Ebeakpu Civil Centre Amawbia.
They said that Governor Soludo had written his name in gold as the first and only governor in Anambra State that has executed numerous development projects in less than a year in office through the cooperation of the unified state lawmakers.
The people equally disclosed that Hon Okoye’s representation has not only constructed and equipped the Skills Acquisition Centre for youth empowerment programmes in the Constituency but also constructed and renovated classroom blocks and equipped them with modern furniture and other educational facilities for conducive teaching and learning atmosphere.
Speaking during the campaign rally, the National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Oye, stressed that they are delighted at Governor Soludo’s intervention in the ongoing construction of over 260km of roads across the 21 local government areas of the state, employment of 5,000 teachers and about 400 medical healthcare workers, hence Ndi-Anambra should cast their votes for all the 30 APGA candidates during the election to enable the governor to continue with the good work he is doing.
“The APGA National Chairman urged the Amawbia people to vote for Hon Okoye come March 18th, 2023.
Earlier in his remark, Governor Soludo urged the people to reciprocate the lawmaker’s kind gesture by voting massively for him.
Soludo, who was represented at the rally by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra (OCHA Brigade), Comrade Celestine Anere, an indigene of the community, maintained that Hon. Okoye with his vast legislative experience, has an outstanding advantage to continue representing the people of Awka South 2 State Constituency.
The governor added that the lawmaker’s  transformational programmes in the constituency are remarkable, visible, and worthy of commendation.
