The prosecutor, Cpl. Odusina Olawale told the court that the accused committed the offence on Nov 29, 2018, at 08:30 p.m., at Iredunmi Street in Ile-Ife.
Olawale said that the accused beat-up one Micheal Adereti with a stick and inflicted injury on Michael’s forehead.
He said that the offence contravened Section 351 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The defence counsel, Mrs Innocental Akhigbe, pleaded with the court to grant the accused bail on the most liberal term.
She prayed that her client would not jump bail, but would provide substantial sureties.

Magistrate Omisade granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety in like sum.
Omisade ordered that the surety must swear to an affidavit of means, resides within the court’s jurisdiction as well as produce reliable sureties.
He adjourned the case until Dec 27, for hearing.
