THE police on Tuesday, arraigned a 23-year-old man, Mordi Mathew, in a Wuse Zone II Magistrates’ Court, Abuja for allegedly stealing a Macbook Pro laptop worth N300, 000, power bank and charger.
Mathew is charged with theft.
The Police Prosecution, A.S Oyeyemi, told the court that the complainant, Mr Oguegbu Chukwuson, who resides at no 110 Ebittu Ukwe Str., Jabi, Abuja, reported the matter at the Divisional Police Headquarters Wuse Zone III, on July 10.

Oyeyemi alleged the defendant broke into the complainant’s Kia Rio car and stole his laptop bag containing a MacBook pro laptop valued at N300,000 from where it was parked in front of Mifty Spa, opposite AP Plaza Wuse II Abuja.
He alleged that the defendant also stole his power bank and a charger.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened the provisions of Section 287 of the Panel Code.
After the charge was read to him, the defendant pleaded not guilty.
The Magistrate, Njideka Duru, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100, 000 with a surety in like sum, adjourned the case until Aug. 27, for hearing.
