The accused, who is also an aluminium fabricator of No. 33, Abiodun Sadiku St., Dopemu, a suburb of Lagos, is being tried for conspiracy and stealing.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Innocent Odugbo told the court that the accused committed the offences on Sept. 14 at the Aluminum Village in Dopemu.
Odugbo said that the accused and one other at-large went to the shop of Mrs Olabisi Ibiomah, the employer of the accused, at night and parked some aluminium profile valued at N40,000.
“The security guards employed by Ibiomah sighted the accused and his accomplice during the act and ran after them.
“The other accomplice escaped while the accused was arrested, “he said.
The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The magistrate, Mrs S. K. Matepo, granted the accused to a bail of N20,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Matepo adjourned the case until Oct. 18 for the mention.
