THE Police on Tuesday arraigned one Nnamdi Ogboh in a Kubwa Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, over alleged cheating.
The defendant, a resident of Kubwa, Abuja, was docked on charges bordering on criminal breach of trust and cheating.
According to the prosecutor, Babajide Olanipekun, one Emeka Okorie of Dakwa village, Abuja, reported the matter at the Area Command, Kubwa, Abuja, on Aug. 16, 2018.
He said the complainant supplied woods worth N425, 000 to the defendant on trust sometime in 2017.

Olanipekun said the defendant supplied the said wood to a company, collected money for the woods and converted it to his personal use without remitting the money to the complainant.
The prosecutor said in the course of police investigations, the defendant admitted to the offence and signed an undertaken to pay the said sum, but he failed to do so.
He alleged that the offences contravened Sections 312 and 322 of the Penal Code.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty, while the judge, Ibrahim Balarabe, granted him bail in the sum of N200, 000 with one surety in like sum.
The case was adjourned until March 13 for hearing.
