Sunday who was rushed to the hospital was confirmed dead by a team of doctors who desperately tried to revive him.
The deceased had reportedly gone to the hotel situated in uptown Benin but got submerged and drowned before first aid could be administered.
He said that some panicking co-workers of the hotel quickly closed and ran away to avoid the wrath of Sunday’s family members and being arrested by policemen.
The Edo State Police spokesman, Mr Chidi Nwabuzor disclosed that the mother of the deceased, Mrs Rose Patrick reported the incident at about 7 pm on the fateful day.
