Man arrested for kidnapping two children in Ogun

The Police in Ogun State has arrested a man identified as Abiodun Joseph for allegedly kidnapping of two children in Sango Ota Area of the State.

The suspect was said to have committed the offence on the 15th of September and demanded ransom N150, 000 on each of his victims.

Joseph, who resides at No. 10, Canaanland, Sango Ota, according to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, abducted Tobiloba Aleshinloye (12) and Yussuf Kudus (8) and took them to an unknown place.

When the matter was reported at the Agbara Division, detectives attached to the Division trailed the suspect and arrested him at a hotel located somewhere in Ojoo area of Ibadan, Oyo State, while the victims were rescued unhurt.

The case has been transferred to the Anti- kidnapping /Cultist Unit of the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation while the children had been reunited with their parents.
