The Denton Police division has charged Areze Onyirigbo to court over alleged unlawful infliction of injury on one Kalu Eze.
The 30-year-old Imo State indigene, who appeared on one-count charge of assault in Ebute Metta chief magistrates’ court, was alleged to have inflicted the wound on the defendant by cutting his buttocks with electric machine.
Onyirigbo was said to have committed the offence on August 15, at Okobaba Sawmill, Ebute Metta, while the offence was punishable under Section 244 of the criminal laws of Lagos State.
Lagos Metro gathered that Onyirigbo and Eze normally sleep in the same shop after work, since they did not have a house to live.
Argument, however, reportedly arose when Eze decided to occupy Onyirigbo’s sleeping position.
It was learnt that Onyirigbo, in the process, used the electric machine being used at the saw mill to inflict injury on Eze’s buttocks.
