A 43-year-old man, Osagie Idehen, on Monday appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, for allegedly stealing N825,000
Idehen, who resides at No. 4A Adesuru St., Ayobo in Lagos, is being tried for stealing and breach of peace.
He, however, pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Victor Eruada told the court that Idehen committed the offences sometime in March, at No. 4B, Adesuru St, Ayobo, Lagos.
Eruada said that Idehen stole the money belonging to one Mrs Florence Uwagboe.

“Idehen rented Uwagboe three bedroom apartment out for N825, 000 without her consent and failed to remit the money to her but rather converted it to his own personal use,” the prosecutor said.
Eruada said the offence contravened Sections 168 and 287 of Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Magistrate, M.I. Dan-Oni granted the defendant a bail of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until July 1.
