Man, 35, defiles 13 year-old-girl in Ogun

A 35 year-old-man,  Kingsley Chigbo, has been arrested by the men of the Ogun State Police Command for defiling a 13 year old girl. Metro gathered that the incident occurred at Sango Ota area of the state.

According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer,  Abimbola Oyeyemi, the victim was said to have reported the case to the coordinator of an Abeokuta based Child Protection Network,  Mrs. Peju Osoba, during an enlightenment talk in a private school in the area.

The victim with an undisclosed identity was said to have revealed that Chigbo, her sister’s husband had severally had carnal knowledge of her with a threat to her life.

The incident was reported to the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Ota,  SP Akinsola Ogunwale who led team of detectives to No. 38, Asikolaye Street,  Gasline area where the suspect was arrested

Upon interrogation the Chigbo confessed to the crime. He has since been transferred to the anti-human trafficking and child labour section of the command for further investigation in the directive of the Commissioner of Police,  Ahmed Iliyasu.
