AN Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Monday remanded a 27-year-old man, Babatunde Idowu, in Kirikiri Prisons over an alleged armed robbery.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs M.I. Dan-Oni, who ordered that the case file is sent to the director of public prosecutions for advice, adjourned the case until March 27 for mention.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Idowu, whose address was not provided, is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and armed robbery.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Victor Eruada told the court that Idowu and others at large allegedly conspired to commit the offences on Dec. 30, 2018, at about 8 p.m. at Ketu-Ojota intersection in Lagos.

Eruada said that Idowu, who was armed with a knife and other dangerous weapons, attacked one Sandra Ndame and dispossessed her of her handbag containing two cell phones.
He said that the defendant also collected a wallet containing about N9,000, an ATM card, school identity card and a SIM card, all valued at N150,000.
According to the prosecutor, the offences contravene Sections 411 and 297 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The plea of the defendant was not taken.
