The Badagry Magistrates’ Court, in Lagos on Wednesday, remanded in prison, one 23-year-old Oladawale Yusuf, who allegedly robbed with a toy gun.
Yusuf, who was of no fixed address, is facing a count charge of robbery.
The Prosecutor, ASP. Akpan Ikem told the court that the accused committed the offences on Feb.18, at about 6:30 pm, at Ilogbo Okafor, Badagry, Lagos.
Ikem said that the accused whilst armed with a toy gun robbed Odelade Ishola of his motorcycle with registration number APP 757 QP valued N380,000.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 297 subsection 1 and 2 of Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 as amended.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Patrick Adekomoya, said the accused should be remanded in prison custody until police complete its investigation on the matter.
The case was adjourned until May 8, for hearing.
