The defendant is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and theft.
The prosecutor, Mr Kufreabasi Ebong, told the court that the accused committed the offences on Oct. 31 at 10 a.m.
Ebong said that the defendant removed the phone from a car belonging to one Mr Bitrus Makama of Cairo Street, Wuse Zone 2, Abuja.
The prosecutor said that police investigation confirmed that Nnate committed the offences.
The offences contravened Sections 97 and 287 of the Penal Code.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The magistrate, Mr Abba Tukur, admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N50, 000, with one surety in like sum, and adjourned the case until March 28 for hearing.
