The Malala Fund, a leading organisation advocating for girls’ education, has released its annual report, marking a decade of commitment to empowering girls worldwide.
According to Malala Yousafzai, over the past 10 years, the organization has reached over 21.8 million girls and invested $56 million in its programs.
In Nigeria, the Malala Fund has played a key role in developing the National Education Roadmap 2024–2027, which aims to increase access to girls’ education and raise national awareness.
One of its grantee partners, the Initiative for Leadership Development and Youth Empowerment, successfully advocated for the adoption of the National Policy for School Safety and Violence-Free Schools in Borno State, creating a safer learning environment.

Globally, the Malala Fund has launched its Afghanistan Initiative, fighting for Afghan women’s and girls’ rights, including efforts to codify gender apartheid into international law.
“We are proud of our progress over the past decade and remain committed to our mission of ensuring every girl can access and complete 12 years of education,” said a Malala Fund spokesperson.
The organization’s annual report highlights its achievements and underscores the importance of continued support for girls’ education.
