Malaika ignites fans at Lagos International Jazz Festival

Fuji musician, Alhaji Sulaimon Alao, a.k.a Malaika was the talk of the town at the just concluded Lagos International Jazz Festival.

The crowd in the big Marquee of Freedom Park, Lagos Island got thrilled when the Fuji act and his band members stylishly mounted the stage.

Malaika’s men started by dishing out dexterity from the two saxophonists singing all Malaika’s hits to the wide audience. Taye Wanner, who is gifted with a sonorous voice stood in for the leader singing alongside the two saxophonists.

Malaika later arrived as he dished out hit songs from his albums Proper Music, Super Star and the recently released Original.

It was a deserving reaction as the crowd kept asking for more even when he ought to leave the stage. The sonorous voice of the leader backed by his men, as well as the electrifying dance steps of members of the band was the main attraction for the audience.
