Labaran Maku
Hon. Labaran Maku, Nasarawa State Governorship Candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has rejected the result of the governorship election in the state over alleged fraud.
He made the assertion at Wakama village in Nasarawa Eggon when reacting to the result declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state on Monday.
According to him, the election was marred by irregularities perpetrated by the INEC in collusion with the security agencies.
Maku said that the preliminary reaction of their party was that the result was not the true reflection of the votes cast by the people of the state and they reject it in totality.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) led government colluded with INEC and the security agencies to announce pre-allocated election results.
“They decided to allocate APGA in the third position in order to shut us up to create an impression that the people are not with us,” Maku added.

The candidate also alleged that electoral rules were totally ignored in Toto, Wamba, part of Lafia, Awe, Keffi.
“Card readers were not used at all in these areas so as to perfect their plans.
“They brought results from Toto and other deserted areas affected by crisis,” Maku said.
He, therefore, said that for now, the party is still consulting with other critical stakeholders in order to decide on the next line of action.
Main while, the Returning Officer for the Governorship election, Professor Abdullahi Bala, in the early hours of Monday, March 11, declared Abdullahi Sule of APC as the Nasarawa State governor-elect.
The returning officer said that Sule of APC got 327, 229, while PDP and APGA got 184, 281 and 132, 784 respectively.
