It is what you dream about on a daily basis and what you have a passion for. In a nutshell, it is what you enjoy doing and this should be put into consideration when making career choices.
Parents contribute to the wrongcareer choices of their children. They make decisions for their children on what career path to toe.
This is often contrary to what the child desires to become in life.
A child could be doing well in Mathematics, but averagely in the use of English. Thus, he or she might nurture the ambition to become an accountant rather than studying any of the liberal arts.
Some parents, however, might still insist on their own preferences. The child becomes a lawyer to please them, even though he or she has a passion for accountancy.
The truth is that when youths are not given the chance to become what they desire to be in life, they become unfulfilled. Choosing a course of study different from their dream career becomes a big headache.
As youths, we all have the right to make career choices. But what a youth needs while deciding on a career choice is how to achieve such goals.
Thus, parents should be mindful of the dangers of interference in the careerchoices of their children.
They should not destroy their joy of fulfilment in life.
