‘Makinde’s exemplary leadership births existing development in Oyo’

Chairman, Agricultural Credit Corporation of Oyo State (ACCOS), Sheik Taofeek Akeugbagold, has said that the exemplary leadership of the State governor, Mr Seyi Makinde, gave birth to numerous existing developments as witnessed in the state.

This was contained in a statement he issued to commemorate the 57th birthday of the governor.

The statement reads: “As a visionary leader and workers’ governor, Makinde has demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of workers and the development of Oyo State. Under his leadership, the state has witnessed significant growth, with its economy expanding from N2.75 trillion in 2019 to N4.05 trillion as of 2022.

“As a workers’ governor, Makinde has implemented various initiatives aimed at improving the lives of workers and the entire citizens of Oyo. Makinde’s administration has prioritised investments in key sectors such as agriculture, education, and healthcare.

“Every festive period, Makinde approves funds to procure food items for workers in the state at subsidised rate, this according to him has impacted greatly the welfare of workers in the state.”

According to Akeugbagold, the state government through the Agricultural Credit Corporation of Oyo State (ACCOS) has equally distributed N1billion single digit interest loan to farmers as well as 50 percent tractorisation subsidy where lots of farmers have benefited adding that this has greatly yielded results in food security in the state.

Akeugbagold however, wishes Governor Makinde a happy 57th birthday and many more years of good health, wisdom, and continued service to the people of Oyo.
