OYO state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Wednesday, warned the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje against his desperation of wanting to taking over Oyo and Osun states from the PDP in the next elections saying, his move and calculations would meet brick wall in the two states.
Makinde who assured him that, the states would show him pepper and give him, shockers of his life during the next Elections in the two states, maintaining that, he would receive shockers of his life during the periods.
The governor made the remarks at the commissioning of the completed dualisation of Stadium Roundabout, Testing Ground Roundabout, Oke Baale Roundabout and Ilesa Garage Roundabout, a section of Oba Adesoji Adeyemi Way, by the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke in Osogbo, OSUN state.
“Somebody got distracted after the Edo and Ondo Election, he said they are coming for Osun and Oyo State, I urge you to show them pepper. ”
He said that, “We want to assure them that the game is not yet over in Edo and Ondo states. We are challenging the results in court, we are law-abiding people in our party and we believe that whatever they have done will be revealed.”
Makinde who was pleased with the road projects of governor Adeleke in OSUN state, charged people of the state to compensate Adeleke achievements with another term of four years.
While commending, Adeleke for delivering dividends of democracy to the people of the state, he pointed out that, “the reward of hard work is more work, so give him more work to do for another four years. ”
“You don’t need eternity to impact the people. This is not about data, it is not about the claims of Nigeria Bureau of Statistics(NBS) on how the government is performing. On my way from government house to this place I can see numbers of ongoing projects, this is for real, the people know what they are getting. ”
“I celebrate the good work that is going on in Osun State. I want to on behalf of our people because myself and Governor Adeleke are one in ensuring that our decisions put our people first.”

“We are one in the task of ensuring that when you have public money that has been spent on a project whether by an administration before us, we complete it and value has been extracted for the good people of Osun State.”
“This road was started by Governor Aregbesola and now completed by him not minding the credit.”
“This is cementing your position of leadership. I have two years and a little bit to complete my tenure, I am glad that Nigeria has become too advanced for a mediocre and minds that cannot think inches deeper.”
OYO state governor also disclosed that, “we must still fight for the reforms that will lead to true federalism, because federalism has being… and unfortunately the proponents of true federalism, are moving us more towards a unitary type of government.”
“But for us, I told my brother, we in this South West, himself and myself, we are the true progressive, because Osun is the cradles of Yoruba race and in Yoruba race Oyo is the leader and when the river is not forgot its source it will not run dry.”
“We will continue to lead the pack and provide good leadership for our people. It is a day to rejoice with my brother Governor Ademola Adeleke, it is a day to rejoice with the good people of Osun state because something good has happened to them. My prayer is that something good will continue to happen to all of us”.
Earlier, the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke warned road users against reckless driving, driving against traffic that could bring sudden death to their lives.
He, however, appreciated the former Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who started the road projects before they were abandoned by the previous government.
According to him, “Aregbesola will be happy about the completion of the projects. My administration has vowed not to abandon any project since inception, as they are public assets that must be managed for the benefit of the people.”
“The completion of the dualization within record time will expand the economic growth of the capital city, Osogbo, and save people from untimely death and injuries.”
