Makinde hails Adeleke on infrastructure projects in Osun

Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has lauded Governor Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke for his impressive infrastructure development in Osun State, urging the people of Osun to continue supporting his administration.

During the commissioning of several completed projects in Osun, Makinde commended Adeleke for not only completing projects started by previous administrations but also for ensuring that public funds are well-utilized for the benefit of the people. “This road was started by former Governor Aregbesola, but Governor Adeleke completed it. I thank you for completing this road project. This is cementing your position in leadership,” Makinde said.

He further emphasized the importance of continued progress in Osun, stating, “The reward for hard work is more work. So, give him more work to do for another four years.” Makinde praised the visible development across the state, particularly in the infrastructure sector, noting, “On our drive from the Government House to this place, I counted new building projects and looked at the number of people that must have been employed. So, this is for real.”

Makinde also encouraged Osun residents to stand firm behind Adeleke for another term, emphasizing the positive impact his governance has had on the state. “The people know what they are getting, and I congratulate the people of Osun State on their choice,” he said, adding, “Governor Adeleke has been delivering dividends of democracy to the people.”

Highlighting the significance of such infrastructure developments in the region’s economic growth, Makinde noted, “Where the road goes, development follows. Those of you who have landed property on this axis, don’t sell them yet, because the value would soon skyrocket when all the projects come together.”

Governor Adeleke, in his response, expressed gratitude for Makinde’s visit, which he described as a reflection of the strong brotherhood and cooperation between Osun and Oyo states. Makinde was accompanied by key government officials from Oyo State during the visit.
