Make right decisions to alleviate Nigerians’ sufferings, Olukoya tells FG, others

The General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM), Pastor (Dr.) Daniel Olukoya, has advised the Federal Government, governors, and other leaders at all levels to make the right decisions to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians, stressing that the nation needs divine intervention.

The cleric emphasized his strong belief in one Nigeria and assured that the future is promising, as God has a plan for the nation.

Olukoya made these statements while speaking with newsmen on Sunday at the grand finale of the church’s 35th anniversary celebration, which included a thanksgiving and awards service.

He said, “That songwriter says, ‘the arm of flesh will fail you, the brains of men may fail, and our hard work may fail. But with God, all things are possible.’ Let us understand something: no matter where you are or what resources you have, the Bible says, ‘except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain.’

This means the ability to gather resources but not even be able to use them.”

Olukoya emphasized that the nation needs divine intervention and that the Lord should lay His hands upon the entire nation and its leaders so that they will make the right decisions and help the people of Nigeria.

“Regarding the future of Nigeria, I see a bright future for this country. If you look at the map of Africa, it resembles a gun, and Nigeria is where the trigger is. God has a plan for Nigeria. I am a staunch believer in one Nigeria,” he added.

The event featured the presentation of awards to exceptional church ministers and 492 members worldwide who graduated as first-class students from various institutions, including the Mountain Top University (MTU).

Lagos State Governor Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, along with his Ogun and Delta state counterparts, Mr. Dapo Abiodun and Mr. Sheriff Oborevwori, joined Pastor (Mrs.) Elizabeth Olukoya, the wife of the General Overseer, in presenting the awards.

Olukoya also noted that the MFM church has the highest number of first-class graduates. He added that the recognition of first-class students from the church began in 2011 with the gift of cars, and over the years, the number of beneficiaries has increased along with the financial implications.

He revealed that the awards are meant to encourage students to work hard and challenged the youth of the church to surpass the best and excel in their disciplines.
