Make Kaduna proud, Gov Sani tasks federal perm sec

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has called on the newly appointed Federal Permanent Secretary Nadungu Gagare, who hails from the state, to remain committed and make Kaduna state proud.

Gagare was recently elevated to the position of Federal Permanent Secretary of Political and Economic Affairs in the office of the SGF by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking at a reception organised in his honour, the governor maintained that the elevation was well deserved and a testament to the appointee’s commitment to service while urging him not to let down the confidence reposed in him.

The Governor, who was represented by his Commissioner for Agriculture, Alhaji Murtala Dabo, also expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for the appointment and honour done to Kaduna State while assuring him of a payback come 2027.

“Your hard work and diligence to work earn you this appointment, but to whom much is given, much is expected, I know you will not let Kaduna State down, we are thankful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and we are proud of your achievement and wish you God’s guidance and protection as you take up this assignment,” Governor Sani said.

Earlier in their goodwill messages, all the various speakers attested to the fact that Gagare has been a man bestowed with intelligence and who is always committed to any assignment committed to his hands; hence, is elevation was a well-deserved one.

In his appreciation speech, the excited Federal Permanent Secretary, Gagare said, “With commitment and dedication, from nowhere you can become somebody” saying his story can best be described as that of going from ‘Grass to Grace’.

He narrated how while growing up, he had to work on people’s farms to get paid for him to go to school, stressing that his parents were never educated and could hardly take care of their education, and he had to trek almost 26 kilometres from his village to go and write the common entrance.

Gagare thanked Tinubu for appointing him to such a position and also commended Governor Sani for his support and pledged not to disappoint.

“Without God, nothing can be done. I give God all the glory and pray that He sees me through,” he concluded while thanking all his friends for the honor done to him through the reception.

Among several dignitaries who attended the reception include Alhaji Murtala Dabo Commissioner for Agriculture who represented Governor Uba Sani, Deputy Speaker of Kaduna State House of Assembly Hon. Henry Magaji Danjuma, Member representing Kachia constituency Hon. Peter Agite, Executive Chairman Kachia LGA Hon. Daniel Manzo Maigari and Dr. John Danfulani Executive Secretary Kaduna Residency.

Others are Hon. Usman Stingo, a member representing Kajuru State constituency, Mr Jerry Adams of the Kaduna Internal Revenue service (KADIRS), Hon. Abdulmalik Durunguwa, Chief Anthony Hassan, Hon. David Umar Gurara,Hon. Rita, Archbishop John Praise, Chief Titus Dauda Agwan Kufena and the Agwan Kachia Mr Dogonyaro, President of the Adara Development Association (ADA) Dr. Sebastine Barde and Vice Chairman Kachia Local Government area Hussain Abdullahi among several others.
