Makarfi mourns Kaita, says he lived a good service to God and humanity

Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi  has said the  former governor of old Kaduna state who passed away recently, Late  Lawal Kaita lived a good life in the service of God and humanity.

In a statement issued to the Nigerian Tribune in Kaduna on Thursday and signed by his spokesman, Mukhtar Zubairu  Sirajo remarked that, ‘ We received  with shock and total submission to the will of Allah, news of the death of Elder statesman, patriot,politician and one of the founding fathers of the PDP, Alhaji Lawal Kaita, which sad event occurred on Tuesday.

 

The statement averred that though saddened by this heavy loss, derives consolation from the fact that Alhaji Lawal Kaita lived a good life in the service of God and humanity.

“No doubt, Alhaji Lawal Kaita, an epitome of simplicity despite a privileged background, has bequeathed a legacy of humility and courage in the face of daunting odds, as well as dedication and commitment to what he believed in, top of which was his abiding faith in this country and a desire to see justice and equity upheld wherever he was”.

“His contributions to both public service as well as the evolution of democracy and good governance in Nigeria, which included a period as Governor of Kaduna State will continue to be remembered and cherished”.

It is the earnest prayer of Senator Makarfi that Allah (SWT) will abundantly reward Alhaji Lawal Kaita for his numerous good deeds and also give his family and all of us the fortitude to bear this loss, the statement maintained.
