The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) announces that Eleyele, Lanlate, and Apata will experience a power outage from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
TCN took to its social media platform X to announce maintenance on its 60MVA, 132/33kV power transformer which would affect specific areas in Ibadan.

The statement wrote:
‘’The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) announces that its maintenance crew will carry out annual preventive maintenance on its 60MVA, 132/33kV power transformer at Ayede Transmission Substation on Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.’’
‘’As a result, Ibadan DisCo will not be able to supply electricity to customers in ELEYELE, LANLATE, and APATA for six hours on the stated date.’’
‘’TCN apologises for the inconvenience this may cause and assures that the planned outage is necessary toensure a safe working environment for our maintenance crew.’’
