Mainland Oil & Gas 2023 Ladder Tournament unveils extravaganza in VGC, Lagos

Published by

In a grand spectacle that set Victoria Garden City (VGC), a suburb of Lekki, Lagos, ablaze, the 2023 Ladder Tournament marked a milestone for Chief Sir O. Chris Igwe, MD/CEO of Mainland Oil and Gas Limited.

Dignitaries from various sectors gathered to celebrate this positively disruptive industrialist, transforming the event into a gathering of giants.

The partnership between Mainland Oil and Gas Limited and the Victoria Garden City Tennis Association brought forth the cerebral theme “2023 Ladder Tournament.”

Held at the lavish Tennis Courts of the VGC Recreational Centre from November 27 to December 9, 2023, the event was a convergence of opulence, prestige, and celebration.

Anchored by presenter Bobby-Umeano Chiamaka and opening with a prayer by Pastor Paul Igwe, the event featured luminaries such as Chief Chris Igwe, Mrs Peace Ogechukwu Igwe, Mr Nnaemeka Ejeh, Mr Femi Adewale, and others. Culminating in a culinary extravaganza, the Tennis Courts treated attendees to a fusion of international and local cuisines.

Captured by various media houses, the soiree left an indelible mark on the Lagos sports and entertainment scene, promoting health, unity, and brotherliness.

Chief Chris Igwe, doubling as the Chief Sponsor, was lauded for his vision and selfless service. The event concluded with thunderous applause and a standing ovation for Igwe.

Tennis competitions showcased talent and sportsmanship, honouring all participants with no victor or vanquished.

The pinnacle of the evening was the award presentation, accompanied by electrifying music and celebratory moments.

The VGC Tennis Club Ladder Board, unveiled by Mrs Peace Ogechukwu Igwe, showcased participants’ names, culminating in a closing prayer to conclude the unforgettable event.
