Maikalangu hails AMAC press corps chairman over induction into NIPR

Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, has congratulated the Chairman of the AMAC Press Corps, Comrade Wisdom Acka, on his induction into the prestigious Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) family on Friday, 28th March 2025, at Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

In a statement released on Thursday and signed by Mr. Kingsley Madaki, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs to the Chairman of AMAC, the AMAC boss described the induction of Comrade Wisdom Acka as a recognition of his contributions to the media profession in the FCT and his wealth of experience in journalism.

Maikalangu noted that the press corps chairman has consistently maintained the highest ethical standards in the exercise of his constitutionally enshrined duties as a member of the 4th Estate of the Realm.

He further praised Acka for his support and contributions to his administration, pledging his continued support to ensure that Acka accomplishes his future goals while prioritizing professionalism, training, and mentoring to build a lasting legacy.

Maikalangu said: “I am always happy to hear about the accomplishments of people in my administration, especially members of the press corps. I have known Comrade Wisdom Acka for many years, and I am always proud of his achievements. As the chairman of the press corps covering my administration, I have enjoyed a very good relationship with the press corps.

“It’s no mean feat to be inducted into NIPR. You must be a media practitioner of exceptional caliber. Therefore, I am delighted to celebrate this achievement with a professional who has ensured that my administration receives the best publicity any administration could hope for. The induction of Comrade Wisdom Acka is the first of many, and I hold him in the highest esteem.

“My assurance is that I will continue showing gratitude to the press corps for being partners in progress. If I am going wrong, the press corps should not hesitate to draw my attention.
