The Minister of Youth Development, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, has commiserated with the Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, and the victims of the recent devastating flooding in the state.

In a statement on Saturday, Ibrahim expressed that the entire youth of Nigeria is deeply saddened by the flood devastation that occurred in Maiduguri, Borno State, leaving behind a trail of destruction and displacement.

The Minister also announced the postponement of the National Council on Youth Development meeting, which was scheduled to hold sometime this year, in solidarity with those affected by the disaster.

“Our hearts go out to the Executive Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, and the resilient people of Borno State, who have been affected by this unprecedented natural disaster,” she said in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Omolara Esan.
