Energy drink brand, Lucozade drink has announced plans to give out N200 million worth of airtime and other gifts to lucky consumers in its new consumer promotion, tagged Lucozade Airtime Promo, flagged off, recently, in Lagos.
Speaking at the flag-off event, witnessed by the management of Suntory Beverages and Foods Nigeria Ltd, makers of the Lucozade brand and a select few from the nation’s media, the Marketing Director of the company, Rosemary Agbo, explained that the Lucozade Airtime Promo is designed to encourage consumers, especially at this time of recession.
She noted that the need to give the young and upwardly mobile youths, the targets of the brand, the opportunity to communicate at a go, remained one of the main objectives of the promo. According to her, the decision to increase this year’s airtime monetary value to N200 million as against N150million of last year was informed by the need to give more customers of the brand the opportunity to partake in this reward scheme.
She described the promo, designed to reward new and existing Nigerian consumers, who purchase Lucozade Boost 500ML, 330ML or Lucozade Sport Orange as a way of identifying with the Lucozade brand’s consumers, in spite of the economic recession the nation is presently facing.
Explaining the objective of the Lucozade Airtime Promo, the Marketing Manager, Lucozade, Yusuf Murtala, described it as the company’s way of thanking its esteemed consumers for their loyalty to the brand.
