LP disowns ‘fake’ leaders in Borno

The Labour Party in Borno State has issued a warning to the public regarding individuals claiming to be party stakeholders.

This is contained in a statement by the party’s chairman, Ularamu Jibrila, in Maiduguri on Saturday.

According to him, a group led by Engr. Ishaku Yakubu has been approaching political leaders in the state, purportedly making solidarity and condolence visits is not with the LP.

He said the party has denied any association with these individuals, stating they are not recognized executive members and do not represent the party’s principles and policies.

He noted that the party’s leadership is working to strengthen internal democratic processes to enhance their chances of winning future elections.
