Voting has commenced in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State

Voting materials arrived at Bowen Ward, UUnits14, 15 and 16 as of 9;00a.m same to Emejuwa Ward, Polling Units 22 and 23.

In Okurode-Urhobo polling Units 6, 7, 8 and 9, the voters that came out to vote were not as many as the ones that came out to vote in the presidential elections.

The voters are calm so is the atmosphere. There’s no sign of violence or unrest as voters, INEC officials and party agents are doing their duties peacefully.

At Bowen Ward units 14, 15, and 16, the voters were not up to 20 as of 9 am. INEC officials were seen sitting down and waiting for voters to turn up.

Speaking to one of the registered voters whose house is just a stone’s throw from the polling but refused to vote, she said that because of what happened on February 25, she will not vote.

“INEC officials have been here since 8:30 am while we waited for them till 6 pm to come out with materials on the Presidential elections. This shows that the elections being conducted are not free and fair.

“I won’t vote, they should go with their voting materials; because if the presidential elections could be rigged how am I sure that same won’t happen this time around,” she said.
