Lord Bishop warms up for new single

Gospel singer now, a politician, Benjamin Atomode, popularly known as Lord Bishop, has said his music career has not been affected by his political appointment as member of the Management Board of Kogi Savings and Loans Limited.

R gathered that the former banker is currently warming up for another single entitled: “Touch Me Now”.

“Music is my primary objective in life. It is the essence of creation. Our lives have been programmed by God and He will not give you what He knows you cannot handle. When you can explain a thing, it is not God. Grace does things in such a way that you cannot explain, but cannot deny the results. I am grateful to God for the grace to combine music and political appointment without clash or stress,” he said.

Speaking on the new single, which according to Lord Bishop, will be released on September 2; it is meant to inspire people that no matter the level we are in life, we all need a touch of God always.

“It is a song meant to be sung in supplication to God. It is a prophetic and testimony song that will transform and liberate lives,” he added.

He, however, shared his experience working under the Kogi State government, saying, “It is a new experience that has brought my way. It is so interesting to know that God has given me what it takes to add value to my state as an individual.

“It is also helping me as a musician to render more selfless service to people as preached by the governor.  The security situation of the state before now was so bad that we are so scared of holding concerts and programmes, but with the new direction of the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Kogi State is in safe hands. We now have an environment where   privileged music leaders can carry out God’s plan in terms of music without fear.”
