Lone PDP member in Yobe HoA defects to APC

Published by

The only lawmaker on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party in the Yobe State House of Assembly, Honourable Lawan Musa Majakura, has switched allegiance to the All Progressives Congress. He was received by the Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni. A statement by Mamman Mohammed, Director General, Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, revealed that his principal described Majakura as a young and vibrant politician with enormous potential.

“Politics is about service to the people. I am impressed with your commitment to serving your constituency effectively. I am also impressed with the caliber of people that accompany you to this event; it shows your acceptance by this group of credible politicians.”

Justifying his defection to the APC, Honourable Majakura said he decided to leave the PDP for the APC because of the commendable efforts of the Buni administration in providing infrastructure to the people of his constituency
