The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of Ovia North-East local government area of Edo State.
This was announced at the ongoing collation of results led by the Returning Officer, Professor Faruq Adamu Kuta, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna.
According to the collation officer for the local govt, Asue Ighodalo of the PDP scored 15,311 votes to defeat Monday Okpebholo of the APC who polled 13,255 votes.
