The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of Ovia South-West local government area of Edo State with a slim margin of 110 votes.
This was announced at the ongoing collation of results led by the Returning Officer, Professor Faruq Adamu Kuta, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna.
According to the collation officer for the local govt, Asue Ighodalo of the PDP scored 10,260 votes to defeat Monday Okpebholo of the APC who polled 10,150 votes.
