Lions Club harps on more commitment to humanity in Osun

Published by

The Lions Club of Osun State, comprising regions 11 and 12 (Osun axis), held its 2023/2024 Lions prayer service year at the Redeemed Christian Church Of God, Zion Mega Parish, Osogbo, last Sunday, with a pledge that it would not relent in its humanitarian services to positively impact the lives of all and sundry in any given society.

Speaking on behalf of the two regions, Lion Ayodeji Osundiran told the gathering at the worship centre that the Club’s trademark is service to humanity, assuring that the organization would not deviate from its objective.

Lion Osundiran affirmed that, in no distant time, more developmental projects would be embarked upon by the two regions to add value to the lives of community members in the Osun axis.

He further enlightened the people in the church about what the Lions Club is all about, stating, “Two out of our core projects at the District level will be done in Osun axis, and definitely, people of our community will benefit more.”

The Chairperson stressed that the organization is meant for the improvement of health and well-being, strengthening communities, and supporting those in need through humanitarian services.

According to him, “Grants that impact lives globally and encourage peace among humanities would be warmly embraced by the organisation.”

While listing some of their focused areas for community development, he mentioned relief of hunger, women’s development, youth empowerment, environmental cleanliness, special kids care, and child care, among others.

In a separate interview, Lion Yeye Hajia Toyin Adesoye of Region 12 assured that their programs for humanity would always be people-oriented and sympathetic to their plights.
