Vice President of Liberia, Jewel Howard Taylor, has once again called for an African unity, which she noted remained the force needed to drive the world forward.
Taylor made the call while at the Faith Hill Prophetic Assembly at Piwoyi, a community off the Airport Road in Abuja where she was Honoured with the award, as the “African Icon of Peace and Nation’s Transformation.”
Bishop David Morodiya presented the award on behalf of the World Organisation of Ambassador with Headquarters in Australia.
Taylor who thanked the Ambassadors and college of Bishop for the honour pointed out that African Unity and peace initiative must be pursued for development in the continent.
In an interview with the Nigerian Tribune, Presiding Bishop, Faith Hill Prophetic Assembly, Piwoyi, Professor, Emmanuel Jatau, said the visit of the Liberian President to Nigeria would drive Africa development institute to Liberia.
He said the continent must alongside unity pursue innovation and production of finished products for export to develop as a nation.
Jatau who said Africa has undergone 57 civil wars pointed out that the quality of the Liberian Vice President is rare on the continent because she has seen nearly all sides of life and yet rose to become the nation’s number two citizen.
He said she fell from the palace to a war-torn situation, became a senator and vice president of the nation, noted that her experience would be needed across the continent in propagating the mission of continental peace and unity for development.
He commended the effort of Innoson and Dangote and urged Nigerians to follow in their footsteps, while he noted that they are only two from a huge population with such marked impact on exporting the finished product.
