LG polls: NNPP sweeps 44 chairmen, 484 councillorship positions in Kano

The Chairman of the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC), Professor Lawan Sani Malumfashi, has announced that the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has won all 44 local government council chairmanships and all 484 councilorship seats in the state.

He made this assertion on Saturday evening, stating that the results were based on announcements made at collation centers by the returning officers. He also commended parents for not allowing their children to be used to foment trouble during the election.

Professor Malumfashi further praised the residents of the state for conducting themselves peacefully throughout the electoral process.
