LG Electronics donates dual cool smart inverter air conditioner to UNILAG

LG Electronics recently announced the introduction of its latest air conditioner with a dual inverter compressor in a grand style while donating some units to the University of Lagos (UNILAG), during the Korean Embassy lecture, which held at the Ade Ajayi Auditorium, on the University campus.

The LG Dual Cool smart Inverter Air Conditioner (Advanced Gencool), which is designed for the Nigerian market, meets the demands of customers who want to use Air Conditioners in Nigeria with a current as low as 0.74KVA. Indeed, there is no need for consumers’ to look any further as this product is specially made for them.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Rahmon Bello, in his welcome address thanked the Korean embassy for deeming the University fit to hold the lecture series and urged all present to take the lecture seriously considering the wealth of experience of the Korean Ambassador, H.E. Noh Kyu-duk in international diplomacy. He used the opportunity to acknowledge the tremendous support the university has received from LG Electronics, a Korean company in terms of donations, like the CAC academy; Engineering lab; award of scholarship to deserving students of the University over the years amongst others, is a clear indication of the company’s interest in the growth and development of the university and contributing to educational development in Nigeria, which he said is an act worthy of commendation and urged for more areas of collaboration in the future.

In delivering his lecture entitled, “Korea-Nigeria Relations: Korea’s Economic Development and Cultural Enrichment,” the Korean Ambassador, H.E Noh Kyu-duk, started his lecture by reminding the audience of the long standing bilateral trade relation that exists between the Korean Republic and the Federal Republic of Nigeria since February 1980, and highlighted the various support programmes Korea has offered to Nigeria as well as the lessons that Nigeria could draw from the experience and success of Korea.
