LG chairman nominee dies few hours to screening in Ogun State

Tragedy struck on Wednesday morning, when a local government transition committee chairman nominee, Hon. Saibu Adeosun died few hours to screening.

He was one of the nominees appointed by Prince Dapo Abiodun to steer the affairs of the 20 council areas in the state, till the time when the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) conduct LG polls.

Adeosun was nominated as Transition Chairman for Ipokia Local Government and was expected to appear before the State House of Assembly for screening on Wednesday, before news of his death filtered in the early hours of the said day.

The deceased, a graduate of Mass Communication from Ogun State Polytechnic now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, according to information at the Nigerian Tribune disposal, was said to have prepared himself for the screening, passed on in his sleep after a short rest.

He was a former Special Assistant and Senior Special Assistant to Ipokia local government chairman, and a two-time supervisor in the local government.

He is survived by his wife, Mulikat Adeosun and three children.

The late Adeosun would be buried according to Islamic injunctions by 4 pm.
