LG Autonomy: God has begun His work in Nigeria — Clergy

Nigeria will be a better place, with improved security and an improved economy, following the Supreme Court’s decision to grant financial autonomy to the Local government.

The founder of Love of Christ Generation Church, Reverend Mother Esther, Esther Ajayi, also known as Iya Audra, and prime promoter of the annual event Celebrate the Comforter, said this in Abuja after a 20.8-kilometer rally.

The rally which took off at about 10:30 am from the National Stadium through the city climaxed at the Same stadium after about 3 hours when the supporters arrived back at the stadium to addressed by their spiritual leader at 1:30pm

Iya Audra said the rally was to sensitize residents of the Federal Capital City about the forthcoming annual event on the 20th July at the Mashood Abiola National Stadium Abuja.

She said the Lord has promised to birth a new Nigeria and the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration has taken some fundamental steps that would promote development at the third tier of government.

“The creator of the whole universe knows my voice. I have a personal relationship and fellowship with Him. Raw love, pure love will begin to radiate in Nigeria henceforth and forever.

“He has told us that this country’s economy is going to turn around for the best. We believe and on that alone we stand”, she stated.

The Apex Court had last week in a landmark judgment granted full autonomy to the Local government administration, where it said it was illegal for the state governor to receive or hold funds belonging to the local government administration.

Iya Adura who addressed her followers inside the main bowl of the stadium said while insecurity should not be condoned by any society, she pointed out that it manifests in various forms in different climes.

According to her, one common security alert is an announcement at the Atlanta International Airport, which places adult passengers on the alerts, to take more care of their children as child kidnappers are on the prowl.

She said the insecurity in Nigeria will be diminished by the Almighty who wants the country men to conquer all situations with love.

Rev. Mother Esther also criticized the Christian community, particularly those who discriminate against believers who attend the white garment churches.

She said the body of Christ is one and remain so. Therefore physical appearance does not matter else God almighty would have made the whole world same colour.

Her words: “Iya Aladura called for synergy amongst all Christian denominations, adding that she had visited congregations like Redeemed Christian Church of God, Living Faith Church, Methodist Church, Christ Apostolic Church as well as Anglican Church to evangelize.
