The Commandant General of Harpazo Chaplain Corps International (HCCI), Mr Joseph Joluwaseyi, hascharged the people of Akure, Ondo State to join hands with HCCI to fight against dehumanisation, describing it as a crime against humanity.
Joluwaseyi, who said this in Akure, the state capital, on Sunday, stressed the need to create awareness for the people on moral life standard in humility.
According to him, the organisation was established to let people know that dehumanisation is a crime.
He said: “a chaplain is essentially a religious representative such as priest, Imam or minister of God who is trained or accredited and assigned to serve primarily with the defence force, community, paramilitary without bias to religious background, gender or age.
“Thus, the Harpazo has come out with full capacity to serve positively in all areas where there is human existence and in all works of life.
“We are moving and continue to train the mind of the people, till they realise the potential in life.”
The commandant solicited the support of the public and members of the command to serve without partiality.
While commending the Federal Government for paving the ways for all on a common ground, Joluwaseyi also appealed to the people in the South-South to resolve the pending issues in the area amicably in the interest of peace.
According to him, “properties destroyed could be replaced but lands chemically destroyed may take a life time to be fertile again.
“Let us fight the good fight of moral and mutual understanding and safe all we have already acquired.”
