While celebrating with his fans in the New Year, Nubia, who has carved a niche for himself with folk-styled music as well as promoted unity among the Black race through his works, seized the opportunity to charge Nigerians on attitudinal change.
“…It is time for us all to stand to make this country a better place. For too long all of us have contributed to the failure of this society; it is time now to turn our back from greed and selfishness; to resolve in this New Year and tend towards that which is excellent in what we think, say or do.
“It is time to stop celebrating mediocrity. If your neighbour is not happy you cannot be at peace and if your neighbour is not at peace you cannot be happy. You are as rich as the poorest in your community and even one good soul is a blessing to the society.
“So, don’t think you are powerless, or that you cannot do anything. We can all make the changes at our individual levels; we create the change in our society. I am not campaigning for any political office; rather I am campaigning for our children.
“For too long we have abused our children by not creating a good environment for them. It is time to create these changes to create a land for peace and plenty and a future of opportunities and happiness for our children and our people. Enough of talking; we must take actions now and use our energy and everything to we have got to create change in this environment. I wish everyone a very good year, but let us create that true change this year and I believe we can,” he stressed.
