Let there be light in Kute

Published by

I would like to bring the attention of the authorities concerned to the incessant blackouts being experienced by residents of Kute town in Lagelu Local Government Area of Ibadan, Oyo State. For a long time now, residents of the town have been thrown into economic, domestic and social anguish arising from incessant blackouts. The residents live in the darkness that has virtually crippled life in the community.

All appeals to the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) unit covering the area would appear to have fallen on  deaf ears, as its officials keep telling us tales of endless patience, apparently to douse the brewing tension in the community. What we experience at Kute on a monthly basis are cutthroat bills capable of turning the residents to aggressive psychopaths. We therefore appeal to the IBEDC management in Ibadan to wade in and relieve the residents of the excruciating pain of irregular power supply.
