Lekki residents raise alarm over syndicates impersonating Ministry of Transport workers

 

Security consultant to the Lekki Residents Association (LERA), has raised the alarm over syndicates impersonating Ministry of Transport workers, scamming unsuspecting victims who ply the Lekki route.

In a viral video posted by BusinessDayNG on Saturday morning, 9th September, 2023.

According to the consultant, over 200 commuters have laid complaints, where the syndicates claimed to commuters that an area in Lekki, called ‘Gedegede,’ is their office, which is just by the toll gate, where most of Lekki shuttles are parked.

One of the victims, called Jacob Uloko, shared his own experience.
