Lead British School : How I was bullied, Namtira reveals

Published by

Namtira Hassan, a student at Lead British International School in Abuja, recently shared how she was bullied by her classmate Mariam and others.

In a widely circulated video aired by TVC on April 24, 2023, Namtira recounted how she was lured to a secluded area of the school under false pretenses, only to face relentless bullying from Mariam.

Describing the ordeal, Namtira revealed that Mariam repeatedly slapped her without any clear reason, while another student named Aliya joined in the harassment.

Even when an adult intervened, Mariam and Aliya persisted in their aggressive behavior, dragging Namtira to a corner to subject her to further interrogation and physical abuse.

She narrated, ”… that she wanted to speak to me about something, and we went topshore. when we got to the topshore, she was asking me questions, then slapping me. After that, a staff from topshore came out and asked what happened. She let us  go.

Then she took me to the cafeteria, in one corner , then started slapping me again, with Aliya.”

The gravity of the situation was not lost on Namtira’s father, who spoke out against the perpetrators and the societal tolerance of such behavior.

He made it clear that his daughter would not be returning to the same school or class as those responsible for the bullying.
