Lawmaker distributes palliatives to 620 women in Jigawa

The senator representing Jigawa North West senatorial district, Senator Babangida Husaini has given 10,000 cash palliative to 625 women to improve their respective trades.

Speaking while disbursing the empowerments at Ringim town, headquartres of Ringim local government areas, the senator said “This is aimed at improving the women’s economy considering their responsibilities as wives and mothers.

The senator who was represented by his aid, Alhaji Bashir Ado explained that “the distinguish senator supported all of you with the sum of N10,000 to add in your capital business”

According to him, “In your capacity as mothers and some of you were widows left with orphan. The money is not much but is huge if it had been utilise in a proper manner”.

He said, “It is deliberate we choose to support women only this time around, this is because of their vulnerability and present economic difficulties”.

Alhaji Bashir Ado disclosed that Senator Babangida Husaini is disbursing a total sum of N12.5 million every month to 1,250 people which includes, youth, women physically challenging people across the 12 local government areas of his constituency to carter for their respective immediate problems”.

He therefore expressed his gratitude for the support and understanding of his constituents, also appealing to them to be patient and pray for peace and security of the nation.
