LAUTECH Alumni NEC passes vote of confidence on national president, Bewaji

THE Alumni Association of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, over the weekend passed a vote of confidence on its national president, Mr Babajide Bewaji, just as it constituted a 9-man convention committee that would be instrumental to the conduct of an election, which would usher in new executives to run the affairs of the body.

Rising from the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the association, held inside Ibadan North local government council, the alumni association expressed their confidence and support for the leadership of the current executives, saying they believed in the leadership of the body to protect the collective interests of all members.

According to the copy of a resolution passed by the LAUTECH Alumni NEC, a copy of which was made available to Tribune Online in Osogbo, on Sunday, the association declared that “the NEC in her meeting held at Ibadan North Local Government on the 18th of November, 2017 resolved as follows”.

“That a vote of confidence has been passed on incumbent President, Mr Babajide Bewaji, who at this trying time facing external challenges on the state of our association that he has contributed immensely to both financially and morally”.

“That a motion was passed that the current administration should carry on with their discharge of duties and a 9-man convention committee should be nominated”.

“That members of the convention committee should be saddled with the responsibility of organising a convention that would bring about the conduct of the election for the next administration”.

Meanwhile, the resolution signed by the Vice President, South of LAUTECH Alumni, Mr Onilede Solomon and states’ chairmen and secretaries of the association respectively in mother chapter (Ogbomoso), Oyo, Ondo, Ogun, Lagos, Ekiti, Osun, Kwara, Delta and Bayelsa listed members of the 9-man convention committee to include Dr Remi Aworemi, Mr Olanrewaju Akeem Kareem, Mr Akintunde Bello Sherrif, Mrs Anu Rotimi, Mr Kolapo Mukharam, Mr Dotun Ajao, Mr Adegboye Ajao, Mr Dayo Awodele and Dr (Mrs) Bisi Adigun.
