Comedian, content creator, influencer, and actor Nosa Afolabi, popularly known as Lasisi Elenu, has been selected as a judge, masterclass coach, and mentor on Africa No Filter Comedy Lab, a pan-African show of Kenyan origins.
The show’s mission is to discover Africa’s next top comedian through an 8-week programme designed to help talented African comedians develop fresh and unfiltered content about Africa and create unique content that changes how the world sees the continent.
According to Lasisi, the show encapsulates everything comedy, showcases talents, and creates a good opportunity to promote African stories as told by Africans themselves.
At the end of the show, 10 contestants will be selected and awarded grants of $3,000 to create 10-minute skits.
The winners will also be provided technical support to take their storytelling to the next level through masterclasses, a mentorship programme, and marketing support to amplify their skits.
