Created by the late Chief Segun Olusola with Sanya Dosunmu (now the Olowu of Owu Kingdom) as director, it was a popular series shown on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) back in the day.
Disclosing plans to mark the golden jubilee of the series, which celebrated Nigerian cultures and values, one of the actors in the play and secretary of the anniversary planning committee, Dele Osawe (Teacher Fadele), said that surviving cast and crew, the NTA and others involved, would commemorate the event.
He added that the return of the series to the airwaves would also help restore history, values, mores and customs to their pride of place in the society
Osawe said: “The village Headmaster family made up of surviving members of cast and crew of this legendary series with the strong support of the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the NTA and relevant stakeholders Will commemorate the 50 years of the vintage TV drama series with events that will benefit the public.”
