Lagos State governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, on Saturday, cast his ballot in the local government polls that is ongoing in all the 20 Local Governments (LGs) and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the state.
Lagosians are to elect their chairmen and councillors, who will be in charge of administration at the local government level in the state for the next four years.
The governor, who arrived Ogunmodede Model College, Papa Epe, designated by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) as Ward A6, Unit 10, his voting centre around 9:31am, immediately joined a queue behind several others he met, to take his turn.
He later completed his accreditation and voted at 9:56am, immediately after Chief Lanre Razak, the Balogun of Epe, had done his.
Tribune Online observed that accreditation and voting commenced in many of the voting centres a bit behind scheduled due to early downpour in parts of the state.
This has also occasioned a low turnout of voters that was generally observed in most of the centres.
